Introduction
Our SEN Information Report – which is part of Durham County Council’s Local Offer – provides details about how we support children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
The SEN Information Report was reviewed and updated on 25th July 2023.
A child or young person has SEN if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made that is additional to or different from that made generally for other children or young people of the same age.
This SEND Information Report should be read alongside the school’s SEND Policy, the Equalities Information and Objectives and the Accessibility Plan.
Our Vision For children with SEND
At Aycliffe Village Primary and Nursery school we believe that all children are entitled to a quality of provision with will allow them to achieve their potential through high expectations and celebrated achievements. At our school, we aim to be fully inclusive at all times, always striving to provide the best provision, support and adaptation for each child in our care. By doing so, we aspire to develop lifelong learning skills, where children have respect for themselves and a positive attitude towards the world around them.
