Mission Statement
We are a safe, happy, caring school providing support and challenge to everyone.
At Aycliffe Village Primary School we aim to:
Always provide a well ordered, secure and caring environment where children come first and where their learning can flourish within a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum;
Young children are encouraged to develop spiritually and normally, while developing tolerance of religions, races and ways of life;
Children are helped to develop lively, enquiring minds and the ability to question and discuss rationally and to apply themselves to realistic tasks and challenges;
Life skills are developed that allow children to understand and appreciate the world in which they live and the interdependence of individuals, groups and nations;
Individuals are encouraged to celebrate their own and others’ successes and to develop a wide appreciation of human achievement and aspiration;
Fulfilling children’s potential and in so doing acquire knowledge, skills, understanding concepts and attitudes relevant to their present and future lives;
Focus on the individual, tailoring a child’s learning to their needs;
Enable all pupils to be the best that they can be.
Our Core Values
The core values we have chosen are care, respect, resilience, responsibility and fairness. Along with our motto and mission statement, they determine everything we do in school.
